The Sierra West Group are construction consultants. They provide expert advice on all matters of construction cost and time.

This is a classic example of updating an existing look and feel while maintaining some reference to the original.
The existing logo had some fairly typical problems; Lack of closure, limited application, incorporation of the byline, etc. The mountain/tree graphic held significance for the company, but it needed to be simplified. And “iconified.”
Our design goal was to clean up, consolidate, clarify, reinforce and strengthen the identity – results below. Note mockup of existing website, with no changes other than the new identity added and a couple of color modifications.
Definitely stronger. Bolder. And substantial.
Interesting project note: Green colors can be difficult to specify (especially dark greens), lots of shifting from uncoated to coated stocks, always a challenge. We know… we’ve previously suffered.

For every project, Phillips Design creates a “Customer Logo Page.” This web page contains every possible iteration of an identity – including .ai, .eps, .pdf, .psd, .jpg and .tif files, in RGB and CMYK, and in various resolutions. Also color specs and some basic usage guidelines – available anytime you need ‘em. (Sierra West’s at right.)
