CATLi is the California Transportation and Logistics Initiative, sponsored through the Chancellor’s Office of California’s Community Colleges. This was a new initiative, sponsored through the U. S. Department of Labor.

This initiative (CATLi) provides workforce training in areas related to logistics, which is incredibly important to California’s economy.
Logistics is often defined as having the right product, in the right quantity and the right condition, at the right place, at the right time, for the right customer, at the right price. The CATLi initiative was created to move people into the right logistics job, with the right training.
Phillips Design’s initial project included development of an identity and byline, and a double-truck conference program ad to announce the new entity. Further work included a website, with a major emphasis on accessibility and ease of use.
